Huang Yi with NBA Star in Movie

For Asian woman, Huang Yi can be considered as 'tall' with her 1.66 m height. But when compared to NBA star Dwight Howard (2.11 m), she looks like a gnome in front of a giant. The two were paired for the upcoming basketball movie, Amazing (Shen Qi), which probably will be released on fall 2011 in China.

Amazing is a co-operate work between NBA and Shanghai Films, and tells the story about youth, life, love and basketball itself. Besides Huang Yi, numerous Asian actors were taking part in this film, including Huang Xiaoming, Stephen Fung, and Kim Ah-Jung. While for basketball stars besides Dwight Howard are Wang Zhizhi, Scottie Pippen, Carmelo Anthony, and Yao Ming who will be appeared as cameo.

Amazing looks promising, especially with the collaboration of Huang Yi and NBA superstars. Let's hope that this movie is not gonna released limited in China only.

NBA stars playing in a Chinese film is not surprising anymore recently. Especially with the lockout between NBA players and club owner, which resulting the 2011-2012 NBA season having a cancellation possibility, some players have considered to compete in Chinese basketball competition.
